Sri Lanka, Feb. 11 -- Police suspect that the shooting in the Benedict Mawatha area in Kotahena yesterday (10) afternoon was the result of a long-standing dispute between two criminal gangs.
Two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire using a T-56 firearm before fleeing the scene. The shooting occurred as the victim exited a shop on Benedict Mawatha.
A 43-year-old man, identified as Caniston Nato from Jampettah Street, Colombo 13, succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
