Sri Lanka, Feb. 10 -- A 43-year-old man was shot dead on Benedict Mawatha, Kotahena, this evening (10), police said.

The shooting was carried out around 7:30 pm by one of two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle. The victim succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the hospital.

Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
