Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- A key suspect in a kidnapping and robbery incident involving Rs. 8,478,000 has been arrested at Katunayake Airport.

The suspect, a 27-year-old resident of Jaffna, was apprehended by the Airport Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department this morning while attempting to depart for Dubai.

Earlier, the Jaffna Police had arrested two other suspects, a male and a female, and produced them before Jaffna Court, where they were remanded until the 28th of this month.

The main suspect is set to be handed over to the Jaffna Police for further investigations.
