Sri Lanka, April 29 -- The Kandy Municipal Health Department has assured the public that there is no risk of a disease outbreak following the recent exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
The Chief Municipal Medical Officer confirmed that the city's drinking water remains safe, with supplies from the Dunumadalawa reservoir and the River Mahaweli properly treated at the Gatambe Water Treatment Plant.
The Officer also stated that Kandy has been fully cleaned, with all Exposition-related waste removed.
The city of Kandy has now been fully cleaned following the conclusion of the Exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
The Chief Municipal Medical Officer has therefore requested the public not to be fooled by irresponsible statements.
