Sri Lanka, May 17 -- The Joint Council for Paramedic Professionals (JCPP) announced that they will resort to symbolic trade union action starting at 8:00 AM on May 22, if their issues, including discrepancies in promotions, salaries, and allowances, are not urgently addressed.
However, they have informed the Minister of Health and other authorities in writing that they remain ready to resolve these issues through discussion.
The JCPP also pointed out that all previous attempts to secure the contribution of the Minister and the Secretary of Health to resolve these problems have been unsuccessful.
