Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- Johann Peries has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Sri Lankan to summit Mount Vinson, Antarctica's tallest peak, standing at 4,892 meters.

This achievement is part of Peries' ambitious quest to conquer the highest mountains on all seven continents.
