Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Member of Parliament for the Batticaloa District, Gnanmuththu Srinesan, has been injured in a crash.

The incident occurred in the Kaluvanchikudy area as the MP was returning to Batticaloa in his vehicle after a political party meeting.

He was admitted to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital for treatment.
