Sri Lanka, July 7 -- Iranian authorities have ordered Afghan migrants and refugees residing in their country to leave.
The Iranian government stated that all those who do not comply with the order will be arrested.
Foreign reports suggest that this mass expulsion could further destabilise Afghanistan, one of the world's poorest nations.
It is estimated that approximately 4 million Afghan migrants and refugees are currently in Iran.
Foreign reports further indicate that over 700,000 Afghans have already left Iran.
