Sri Lanka, May 13 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the resumption of the 2025 Indian Premier League.

The BCCI, issuing an advisory yesterday (12), stated that following extensive consultations with the government and security agencies, the remainder of the season will proceed across six venues, commencing on May 17.

Seventeen matches are scheduled, including two double-header Sundays, leading to the final on June 3.

The playoff fixtures are set, with Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on the 30, and Qualifier 2 on June 1.

Details of the playoff venues will be announced in due course.
