Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered an immediate investigation into an incident where a bank account was opened using the name of Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

The account was used to fraudulently collect donations from the public for a wheelchair for a monk.

The order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayatunga today (7), following a complaint by Dr. Jayatissa to the Computer Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department.

CID officers informed the court that Rs. 38,000 had been found in the fraudulent bank account.
