Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- An immediate investigation and the arrest of a suspect involved in the theft of a high-value mobile phone near Vihara Maha Devi Park was ordered today by Colombo Additional Magistrate Liyan Varushavithana.

The Kurunduwatte Police received these directives to locate the individual and present them before the court.

The court issued this order following a complaint lodged with the Kurunduwatte Police by a Senior Research Officer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

According to police testimony provided to the court, an unidentified person snatched the victim's phone while he walked past the park.
