Srilanka, Dec. 3 -- The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has announced an extension for the application deadline of the 10th phase of the interest-free student loan scheme in light of the ongoing disaster situation island-wide.

The application period, which was originally scheduled to close on November 30, 2025, has now been extended until December 15.

The Ministry stated that this extension follows requests from students who sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination in 2022, 2023, or 2024 (as their first or second attempt), as well as those who sat for the A/L examination again in 2025.
