Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- The overall inflation rate, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a Year-on-Year basis, decreased to -4.2% in February 2025 from -4% in January, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.

Year-on-Year food inflation rose to -0.2% in February from -2.6% in January, while non-food inflation stood at -6.1%.

The CCPI for February dropped to 192.2 from 192.6 in January, with a Month-on-Month change of 0.11% from food and -0.32% from non-food. The CCPI Core increased slightly to 178.5 from 178.4 in January, while the general price level has risen by 92.2% compared to the index reference (2021).
