Sri Lanka, Sept. 4 -- Walasmulla police have arrested a man and seized over 2.7 kilograms of heroin.

The suspect, a 33-year-old from Walasmulla, was apprehended near Morakanda by a team from the Mannar Division Criminal Investigation Unit. The large quantity of illicit drugs was discovered during the arrest.

The Walasmulla Police are now leading the ongoing investigation into the matter.
