Srilanka, Nov. 14 -- A young man was arrested yesterday (13) by officers from the Hatton Police Division Anti-Corruption Unit after he arrived to collect a packet of heroin that had been left for him after a payment was made using the 'Easy Cash' method.

The arrested suspect is a resident of the Dickoya area in Hatton.

Police confirmed that the suspect had paid Rs. 6,000 via the 'Easy Cash' system to acquire the drug packet.

The arrest occurred when Anti-Corruption Unit officers, who were returning to Hatton Police Station after a separate raid, became suspicious of two young men loitering near the Dickoya Tea Factory on the Hatton-Bogawantalawa main road.
