Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- An Indian national was arrested at Katunayake Airport for smuggling a stock of 'Kush' drugs worth approximately Rs. 18 million into the country. The suspect, a 38-year-old bus driver from Tamil Nadu, was apprehended yesterday by officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau.

He had arrived in Sri Lanka on a SriLankan Airlines flight from Bangkok, Thailand. The drugs, weighing 1.5 kilograms, were concealed in two bags of bottles labeled as nutritional supplements used by bodybuilders.

Meanwhile, a police constable arrested for aiding and abetting a kidnapping and fleeing to Dubai was found in possession of over three grams of heroin following extensive interrogation.
