Sri Lanka, Feb. 2 -- India's latest budget has increased financial support for Sri Lanka, as announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech yesterday.
The budget allocates INR 54,830 million for foreign aid, primarily funding hydroelectric power plants, housing, roads, and bridges in neighboring countries.
As Sri Lanka continues its recovery from an economic crisis, India has raised its allocation to INR 3,000 million to support economic stability, according to the budget document.
