Sri Lanka, Dec. 4 -- A team of field engineers from the Indian Army has begun efforts to restore a bridge damaged by Cyclone Ditwah along the road linking Chilaw and Puttalam.
Reports state that the Indian engineering team arrived in Sri Lanka last night and completed the unloading of their equipment by 7:30 a.m. today (4).
They have since proceeded to the site located north of Colombo for an initial inspection and are expected to commence restoration work at the earliest possible time.
