Sri Lanka, Dec. 21 -- India's Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S Jaishanka, is set to touch down in Sri Lanka next week, presumably to ensure the island is managing to stay afloat after the recent weather.

The primary focus of his visit is to provide support for the post-disaster recovery plan following the widespread destruction caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

During his stay, Dr Jaishankar is expected to announce a special cooperation package specifically designed to assist with the country's restoration efforts.

He is also scheduled to meet with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to deliver a personal message from the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
