Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Indian Extrnal Affaairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishanker. on his visit to Sri Lanka today stated taht India is proposing a Reconstruction Package of USD 450mn to Sri Lanka, following the devasatation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

This will include USD 350mn in concessional lines of credit and USD 100mn in grants.

It will cover the worst-affected sectors, including rehabilitation and restoration of road, railway, and bridge connectivity, reconstruction of destroyed and damaged houses, health, education, agriculture, and investing in better disaster response and preparedness.
