Sri Lanka, May 27 -- An Assistant Controller at the Department of Immigration and Emigration has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The arrest was made in connection with the issuance of three fake passports to 'Kehelbaddara Padme,' an alleged underworld figure reportedly based in Dubai, who is linked to the murder of 'Ganemulla Sanjeeva'.
