Sri Lanka, July 25 -- Julie Kozack, Director of the Communications Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has announced that the fifth review of Sri Lanka's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme is expected to take place in the "autumn" of 2025, specifically between September and November.

She made these comments during a press briefing yesterday (24).

This upcoming review follows the successful completion of the fourth review on the July 1, which resulted in a disbursement of USD 350 million to Sri Lanka.

With this latest payment, the total IMF assistance received by Sri Lanka under the EFF programme now stands at USD 1.74 billion.
