Sri Lanka, Sept. 10 -- The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has expressed significant displeasure with the statement given by Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath at the 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
The political party alleges that the government has not fulfilled its promises regarding accountability and reconciliation.
In a recent communication, ITAK stated that despite previous commitments, the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) remains active, and a new anti-terrorism law is currently under consideration. The party also criticised the lack of progress in repealing the Online Safety Act.
