Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- A house in the Murippu area of Mulliyawalai, Mullaitivu, was set on fire for the second time yesterday (16), our correspondent reports.

The previous day, the same house was partially burned in an earlier fire, but it was completely destroyed in the second incident.

The attacks followed a recent clash between two families in Murippu, which has caused divisions within the village. A 36-year-old man was seriously injured in the altercation and later died at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.

The first arson attack occurred on the day of the deceased's cremation, with the second fire breaking out the following day.

Mulliyawalai Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
