Srilanka, Dec. 7 -- The Horton Plains National Park road, which was temporarily opened for general public traffic following the disaster, will revert to being accessible only to local and foreign tourists starting today (7).
M. M. K. Morathenna, the Horton Plains National Park Warden, confirmed the decision.
He stated that the measure was taken based on instructions from the Department of Wildlife Conservation, as the main Nuwara Eliya-Welimada road has now been restored and opened for general traffic.
Individuals who need to travel from the park road to Ohiya and Welimada will still be able to do so by purchasing an entrance ticket.
