Sri Lanka, June 25 -- Private bus owners operating along the Horana-Colombo Route Number 120 have withdrawn their services today (25).
This strike action is in protest against the introduction of a new bus service from Millewa to Colombo via Horana, which they claim was implemented without proper procedures.
Janaka Gunasiri, Chairman of the Horana-Colombo Private Bus Owners' Association, warned that if the issue remains unresolved, bus owners on other routes may join the strike in the future, potentially impacting broader public transport.
