Sri Lanka, June 8 -- A recent special eye clinic conducted by the Jaffna Teaching Hospital's Eye Unit at Vavuniya University has revealed that approximately 51.4% of the university's academic staff, students, and non-academic staff are suffering from various eye diseases.

The eye clinic, which was held recently, was led by a medical team headed by Dr. M. Malaravan, Consultant Ophthalmologist at Jaffna Teaching Hospital.

According to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, a special programme has already been launched to provide treatment for those identified as needing eye care during the clinic.
