Sri Lanka, June 13 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasted showers across Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and North-western provinces.

Heavy falls of approximately 100 mm are likely in some areas within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts.

Several spells of showers may also affect the Northern province and the Anuradhapura district.

Additionally, strong winds, reaching speeds of 50 to 60 kmph, can be anticipated at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, and Southern provinces, including the Trincomalee district.
