Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- Intermittent showers are expected in the Central and Uva provinces, as well as the Ampara, Batticaloa, and Hambantota districts, according to a statement issued by the Department of Meteorology.
The department notes that some areas within the Uva and Central provinces, along with the Ampara and Batticaloa districts, may experience fairly heavy falls of about 50 mm. A few rounds of showers are also likely in the Northern and North-Central provinces and the Trincomalee district.
