Sri Lanka, May 26 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts that heavy rainfall, possibly exceeding 100mm, is expected in several provinces.

These conditions are anticipated in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts.

Intermittent showers are also possible in other areas of the island.
