Sri Lanka, April 14 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts heavy rain, reaching approximately 50 millimeters, in many parts of the island this evening.Specifically, the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces are expected to experience these heavy rainfall conditions.The Department of Meteorology urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimize potential hazards from temporary strong winds and lightning associated with thunderstorms.
