Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Tensions flared between government and opposition benches today (03) following the suspension of Parliament's Deputy Secretary General, Chaminda Kularatne.

SJB MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara initiated the debate, questioning whether the government aims to pressure the Secretary General of Parliament as well. He emphasised that friction between the Speaker and the Secretariat undermines national democracy.
