Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Minister Sunil Handunnetti told Parliament today (05) that the opposition is creating various topics as they lack real issues to discuss.

He stated that the public outcry over monkeys has faded due to these distractions and criticized the opposition for shifting the narrative from rice to paddy.

The minister emphasized that the government's decision to offer a guaranteed price for paddy aligns with its policy to protect both farmers and consumers. He noted that farmers are now assured a price of Rs. 120 per kilogram.
