Sri Lanka, April 17 -- The Joint Postal Trade Union Front alleges that the GovPay application introduced by the government for services, including traffic fine payments, is causing a significant annual revenue loss to the Postal Department.
Convener Chinthaka Bandara stated that the Postal Department also has the capacity to provide these services through modern facilities.
Hiru News inquired about this matter from Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara, who stated that while the new application does result in a considerable revenue loss for the Postal Department, they support the government's service as all revenue ultimately goes to the Treasury.
The Postmaster General also stated that the application provides convenience to the public....
