Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- In the wake of the arrest of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe over the alleged misuse of state funds for a foreign trip, a government minister has stated that similar malpractices involving other former Heads of State will also be investigated based on complaints.
Wickremesinghe was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last week and produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate, where he was later remanded.
He is currently out on bail.
