Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- Chief Organizer of the Government Party, Nalinda Jayatissa, revealed that the Government Party Organizer's Office spent Rs. 377.3 million during the 49-month period when former Presidents Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Ranil Wickremesinghe were in office.

Speaking during the third reading of the budget committee debate yesterday, Leader of the House, Minister Bimal Ratnayake, stated that former Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena had used nine official vehicles during his nine-month tenure. He further disclosed that Abeywardena's fuel expenses for the period amounted to Rs. 33.4 million.
