Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- Ganemulla Sanjeewa alias Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, an organized crime gang leader, was killed in a shooting incident this morning (19) inside the No. 5 Magistrate's Court Chamber at the Aluthkade Court Complex.

Reports indicate that the shooting was carried out by a person dressed as a lawyer.

The revolver used in the shooting has been recovered from the court premises. It has been revealed that the suspect sustained approximately six bullet wounds and was admitted to the National Hospital.

Ganemulla Sanjeewa had been brought to the court this morning from Boossa Prison for a legal matter. A special search operation is currently underway inside the court premises, and security has been tightened around the area...
