Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali has ordered the Judicial Medical Officer to conduct an inquest into the death of criminal gang leader Ganemulla Sanjeewa, who was shot dead.

The inquest is currently taking place at the Police Mortuary of the Colombo National Hospital. The court has also ordered that his body be buried, with the Colombo Crimes Division stating that it will be handed over to his mother following the inquest.
