Sri Lanka, April 22 -- The establishment of a Gambling Regularisation Authority is being proposed in Sri Lanka.

This independent body would serve as the sole monitoring authority for the gambling sports industry, encompassing onshore and offshore activities, including those in ships, Colombo Port City, and online platforms.

Following Cabinet approval on February 24, 2025, a draft bill has been prepared and cleared by the Attorney General.
