Sri Lanka, May 25 -- Bandulal Bandarigoda, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Galle constituency organiser, has resigned from his post.

He indicated that the primary reason for his resignation was the party's change in criteria for appointing members to local government bodies.

He stated that despite informing the party leadership of his concerns, he received no proper response, leading to his decision to step down from the organiser position.

However, Bandarigoda affirmed that he will not be resigning from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party itself.
