Sri Lanka, Sept. 4 -- The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) today (4) lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of Police (IGP), alleging police inaction during a violent attack on its Gampaha District office in Yakkala on September 2.
The party further claimed that state-owned vehicles were misused in the incident.
In addition to the complaint, the FSP has also sought clarifications under 15 provisions of the Right to Information Act, requesting details from the IGP regarding the attack.
Addressing the media near Police Headquarters, FSP Propaganda Secretary Duminda Nagamuwa alleged that a group of government-backed thugs forcibly entered the party office, assaulted those present, and took control of the premises.
