Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Four police constables attached to the Wadduwa Police Station were arrested today (12) over the alleged assault of a detainee who later died after vomiting blood at home following his release on police bail.

The arrests were made by officers of the Panadura Divisional Crimes Investigation Division on the directive of the Panadura SSP. The suspects are to be produced before the Panadura Magistrate's Court tomorrow (13). The police spokesman confirmed that they have also been interdicted pending disciplinary action.
