Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of four suspects, including the two chairmen of the Podujana Eksath Peramuna and Samagi Jana Balawegaya trade unions, on bail in connection with the alleged assault on the chief security officer of the Government Printing Office.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala granted bail to each suspect on a surety bond of Rs. 200,000 and strongly warned them not to engage in actions that could disrupt law and order as responsible officers of the institution.

The suspects were arrested by Borella Police for allegedly assaulting and injuring the security officer by kicking him while being part of an unlawful assembly. According to the police, the incident oc...
