Sri Lanka, July 6 -- Customs officers at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) have arrested four Sri Lankan passengers with smuggled foreign liquor and cardamom, with an estimated value of Rs.15 million.

Authorities confiscated 378 bottles of foreign liquor and 132 kilograms of cardamom from the suspects.

The items were reportedly purchased from a duty-free shop at a foreign airport.

The arrested individuals are residents of the Colombo and Hatton areas.
