Sri Lanka, June 29 -- Four members of a single family, including two young children, were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital yesterday (28), after their car overturned.

The family was travelling from Kurunegala through Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela when the incident occurred.

The incident took place around 5:00 PM on the Gampola-Nuwara Eliya main road, in the Bambarakelle Estate area of Nuwara Eliya.

According to Nuwara Eliya Police, who are investigating the accident, the car skidded off the road due to adverse weather conditions and overturned onto the Bambarakelle Estate access road.

The vehicle sustained significant damage in the accident.
