Sri Lanka, July 25 -- Wildlife officials have arrested four suspects and recovered a pair of elephant tusks during an operation conducted in the Kekirawa area.

Our correspondent stated that officers from the Galkiriyagama Wildlife Range Office and the Wijithapura Wildlife Beat Office conducted a joint raid based on information received, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of the tusks.

One of the tusks was found hidden in a house in the Nikiniyagala area of Kekirawa, while the other was discovered buried in a garden in the Olombewa area.

Officials stated that both tusks are approximately two feet long.
