Sri Lanka, July 15 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the release on bail of Nishantha Wickremasinghe, the former Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, who was previously remanded by the Bribery Commission on corruption charges.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayatunga issued the order after considering submissions from both the Bribery Commission and the defence lawyers.

The Magistrate ordered the suspect's release on a cash bail of 50,000 rupees and three personal bails of five million rupees each.

Additionally, a travel ban has been imposed on him.
