Sri Lanka, May 25 -- Former Presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa today, paid their last respects to the veteran actress and "Queen of Sinhala Cinema," the late Malini Fonseka, today (25).

Her body was brought to the National Film Corporation today (25) for public viewing.

Her remains are currently laid at the Tharangani Hall of the National Film Corporation, allowing members of the public to pay their final tributes.

The final rites, with state honours, are scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon (26) at the Independence Square premises in Colombo.

Malini Fonseka passed away yesterday morning (24), while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

She was 78 years old at the time of her demise.
