Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe left the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) a short while ago.
The former Head of State arrived at CIABOC this morning to record a statement related to an alleged incident of corruption that had reportedly occurred during the tenure of MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayke, who served as Chief Minister of the Uva Province and is currently in remand custody.
Wickremesinghe was initially scheduled to appear before CIABOC on two occasions prior, however requested for a rescheduled date, citing the New Year holidays and the absence of his lawyer, who was abroad at the time, to which CIABOC agre
