Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) a short while ago.
The former Head of State appeared before the Commission to provide a statement related to an ongoing corruption probe during the tenure of MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, who served as Chief Minister of the Uva Province and is currently in remand custody.
Wickremesinghe was initially scheduled to appear before CIABOC on April 17 but requested a rescheduled date.
The Commission agreed, and he was summoned to provide his statement today.
